Production Staff Sevim Abaza Stage Manager - The Steadfast Tin Soldier; A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings Assistant Stage Manager - The Love of Three Oranges Ms. Abaza works in both design and production for South Florida theatre companies. As Resident Lighting Designer for Mad Cat Theatre Company, she has designed Animals and Plants (2007 SunPost Best Lighting Design), Everything Will Be Different, Mr. Beast, and Some Girls. Her recent South Florida Theatre credits also include A Nervous Smile at New Theatre and 4.48 Psychosis at The Naked Stage (2009 Carbonell Award, Best Lighting Design & SunPost Award, Best Lighting Design). Ms. Abaza has also designed for Inside Out Theatre and Quantum Entertainment and worked on the production staff for Gables Stage, City Theatre, Florida Grand Opera, Intercept Management Corporation, and Genisius Theatre Group. Ms. Abaza is a member of Actors' Equity Association. Ron Burns Technical Director Belkys J. CorderoMr. Burns holds a Master of Fine Arts in Scenic Design and Lighting from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. Prior to joining The PlayGround Theatre, Mr. Burns worked in technical direction and scenic and lighting design for the University of Alabama Birmingham, City College of New York, Georgia College and State University, Albion College, and various other theaters. In addition, Mr. Burns directed two plays and held the position of Associate Professor of Theatre while at GC&SU and Albion Colleges. Assistant Stage Manager Ms. Cordero holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from Barry University and is currently pursuing a Masters in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University. Her stage management credits include: Nerve, 4.48 Psychosis, and The Lonesome West (SM/The Naked Stage Theatre); Red Tide and Two Sisters and a Piano (SM/The Promethean Theatre); and Summer Shorts 2007 (ASM/City Theatre). In addition, Ms. Cordero was the Assistant Technical Director at Barry University's Broad Auditorium. Marjorie O'Neill-Butler Stage Manager - Inanna and the Huluppu Tree An actress, director, stage manager, and playwright, Ms. O'Neill-Butler is a proud member of Equity, SAG, and AFTRA. Additional stage management credits include Broward Center, Byron Carlyle Theatre, and Hollywood Playhouse. Recent roles include The White Rabbit in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (PGT), Mrs. Plumm in Uncommon Women and Others, Clara in Shiloh Rules, Nat in Rabbit Hole, Agatha in Hold Please, and A in Three Tall Women. South Florida directing credits include Whose Life Is It Anyway?, Greater Tuna, The Apple Tree, and Central Park West. She co-produced and directed over 300 productions as Managing Director/Producer of the Green Mountain Guild (Killington Playhouse) in Vermont and holds an MA from New York University. Jeanette L. Taylor Company Manager & Production Stage Manager Ms. Taylor has stage managed all of The PlayGround Theatre's productions to date. Other stage management credits include Julius Caesar and Saint Joan (ASM/New Theatre) Spring Awakening (SM/NWSA), Romance, Romance (SM/FIU), Decay (SM/Bubble Theatre), and The Big Funk (SM/The Madman Experiment). Performance credits include Les Belles Soeurs, The Crucible, Marat/Sade, The Glass Menagerie, The Cripple of Inishmaan, The Rimers of Eldridge, The Marriage Proposal, and Don’t Dress for Dinner.
