 About The PlayGround Theatre The PlayGround Theatre is building a unique institution for this country. The PlayGround currently has a repertoire of 8 productions, all performed by a resident company of actors. The PlayGround is enjoying its newly-renovated, 330-seat Art Deco theater and will also focus on the expansion of the Education & Outreach Program through InSchool Series workshops, TIP (Theatre Inclusion Program) Performances, increased community outreach events, and continued ticket donations to underserved audiences. Mission The PlayGround Theatre is a repertory company dedicated to the production and presentation of classical and contemporary works that entertain, educate, and delight audiences of all ages. Our magical and intelligent productions foster intellectual, emotional, and social development while reflecting the cultural diversity of South Florida. Vision We aim to become an internationally recognized theatre acclaimed for innovative interpretations of classic scripts, original plays, and fresh adaptations of the world’s best literature. Our enduring repertoire of exciting collaborations between world-class performers, designers, and technicians will promote growth, understanding, self-awareness, and a sensitive appreciation for others. Experience Our talented actors, directors, designers and production staff come from all over the world, including Russia, Italy, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Denmark, Netherlands, Puerto Rico and New York City. Their cumulative credits include: the Moscow Art Theatre, American Ballet Theatre, Broadway, off-Broadway and MTV. Accessibility Last season our Education and Community Outreach Program enabled over 20,000 underserved children and families to see our performances.
